The bristles are flagged (i.e. split at the ends) allowing large amounts of color to be carried and applied evenly to the surface. The fine birch wood handle is turned and finished in Italy which offers great balance and control. The unique Winsor and Newton double-bodied handle provides exceptional balance. To minimize light reflection when painting outdoors, Artists’ Oil Brushes have a satin matte finish lacquer and ferrule.
