Williamsburg Handmade Safflower Oil Colors comprise a limited collection of traditional whites, delicate earth pigments, blues, and violets. Individually milled to preserve the character of the pigment, these colors are ground in expeller-pressed, refined safflower oil to address concerns about yellowing often associated with linseed oil.
Ideal for achieving luminous white passages and subtle glazing techniques, each color in the collection is formulated for long-lasting clarity and brilliance with minimal color shift. Keep in mind that these colors have a longer drying time compared to traditional oils and are not recommended for underpainting or initial layers.
