The Lion and the Unicorn – JP3201

Description

The bundle includes the unfinished wood tote as shown, pattern packet with instructions and detailed photos.  The wood tote measures 8″ x 6 1/2″ x 8″ high.

Heraldic symbols, the lion and the unicorn, are found on a number of old rosemaled pieces. Here they add a slightly whimsical touch to the floral sprays of the Os tradition. The strawberries on the lid are from an old piece in our collection.

Note: Medium value mixes are tints (and white). To tone colors, add a small amount of color’s compliment. On the old piece, purples were mixed from your blue and Burgundy or Red Violet.

Toner:  Brown Earth or black choice
Tints:  Add white or toned white
Shader:  Add black choice

#4-6 filbert, #3-4 round – Basic painting.
#2 liner – Fine details.
#2 striper – Stripes.
Note: You may prefer the 1330 Kolinsky liner or the 1325 Kolinsky detailer for fine details. Size would depend on the pressure that you use.
