The 140 lb. cold press paper is a 25% cotton and 75% lignin-free cellulose blend, both internally and externally sized for optimal absorbency. The longer cotton fibers add strength and absorbency to the shorter cellulose fibers, ultimately creating a paper that ranks above other student-grade watercolor papers.
Each sheet is machine-made and has a balanced grain that softens evenly when wet, making it an ideal surface for watercolor and gouache.
