Description
It is always fun to paint a Santa face. When thinking about inspiration for this interpretation, I decided to begin with eyes and highlights that reflect the traditions of icon painting. The soft curly moustache and beard were inspired by an older gentleman whom I had spoken to the week before this painting was done.
The ornament measures 5″ tall by 3 1/2″ wide.
