This ingenious, professional easel is hand crafted in Italy out of black enameled and plated steel with aluminum canvas holders. It allows you to move your canvas up or down and from left to right with just the gentle push of your finger. Since your canvas comes to you, you can sit comfortably as you paint. Unlike other easels the canvas is never locked in place on the mast but rather is held in place by friction from a counterbalanced weight and pulley system. This pulley keeps the top and bottom canvas holders in place on the mast at a slight tension. By simply pushing the bottom tray up or down you can move your canvas easily and quickly.

Weights are removable for working on small canvases and still achieving the correct counterbalance for carefree working. For horizontal movement the easel features six bottom canvas holders and 4 top canvas holder large Delrin roller wheels. The wheels hold your canvas securely with just a slight friction. This friction is enough to secure canvas even when working vigorously but when you want to move the canvas right or left you can easily do so with just a slight push. It is truly an amazingly satisfying painting experience.
