Michael Harding Artists Oil Colors are professional oil paints crafted to the highest standards. These powerful, intense colors are both beautiful and durable. No fillers or extenders are used, and no driers are added to speed drying time, protecting against brittleness, cracking, and wrinkling. Featuring high pigment loads and excellent mixing power, each color in the line is ground in a grade of refined cold pressed linseed oil that is chosen for its neutral acidity to ensure permanence, with the exception of Cremintz White which is ground in walnut oil and Titanium White, which is ground in safflower oil. Color intensities replicate those of handcrafted, limited-edition oils produced prior to the invention of the collapsible tube in the 1840s. The consistency is silky, not oily. This enables the artist to paint the thinnest layers or thick impasto brushstrokes with ease.
