Our matte canvas offers superb paint adhesion and a velvety surface that artists love. With just the right level of absorbency, it allows for strong brushwork, solid coverage, and dry brush techniques—all without the need for gesso or prep work. Finished with 1.5″ stretcher bars, this canvas is ready for your next endeavor.
While no additional prep is necessary, artists in dry climates may choose to extend blend time with 217 Slow Dry Matte Liquid or 299 Acrylic Retarder, especially when layering or working wet-on-wet.
