Description
Lineco PH Testing Pen
Lineco PH Testing Pen – With a simple swipe of Lineco’s pH testing Pen, you can determine whether or not your paper or board is acidic. To test, draw a small line on the material you wish to examine. The line will turn purple on most papers to indicate pH neutrality. A clear or yellow color indicates the material may be unsuitable for conservation purposes. You can preserve papers with a pH of 6.0 or higher, especially if the paper is well-made, carefully used, and stored. To last centuries in today’s polluted air, the paper must have an alkaline reserve, which usually means a pH of 7.0 or greater. Please note: This is a pH indicator only. Unreliable results may occur on colored, coated, or unbuffered materials.
