It was the autumn of 1933 when Escoda (the surname of the founder) became the first brush factory in Spain.
Versatil is the perfect synthetic alternative to the Kolinsky sable. Designed with versatility as its main feature Versatil really lives up to its name, with exceptional snap, superior absorption and fluid retention. It’s excellent for use with watercolor and oil /acrylic, allowing artists to create fine details as well as providing superior performance for coloring large areas and backgrounds.
In order to create the brush, flakes of hair (natural or artificial) are wrapped in nickel and covered with a thin layer of metal, the brush handle is wood that is engraved with the brush’s number, brand, name of the series, type of hair, and city of manufacture.
The metal cap has a tiny hole in the top so the brush can dry after recapping. Each brush is lovingly handmade so may vary a bit in size.

Length of brushes closed are 2-6 inches long (50.8-152.4mm)
