The Da Vinci Artist Bristle Mottlers are made of Chungking hog. The white hog-bristle is excellent for spreading gesso or varnish. For controlled background applications of color use the mottler to maneuver heavy-bodied paints with ease. The brush has a varnished wooden paintbrush-style handle and a nickel-plated ferrule. Each brush is handmade in Germany using only the finest hog bristle, interlocked for shape retention and flagged for superior paint holding capacity. Painstakingly constructed to guarantee durability these brushes are excellent for mural painting and varnishing.
