DLX (Deluxe) Museum Series 1-1/2″ Deep 11oz. Triple-Primed 100% Linen Canvas
Centurion DLX Museum series 100% linen canvas has a hearty 11oz. triple-primed acid-free surface suitable for oils, acrylics, alkyds, and caseins. The linen is hand-stretched onto kiln-dried pine wood stretcher bars. Larger canvases are braced with rigid cross braces for added support. If necessary, you can insert the included corner keys to tighten the canvas or re-stretch the back stapled canvas. The DLX Museum canvas has a wide 1-1/2″ deep edge that you can paint for frameless presentation. The entire Centurion line provides high-quality stretched linen at an affordable price.
Linen canvases that the old masters painted five hundred years ago are still in good condition. Unlike cotton, linen has long fibers that resist deterioration. If sharing your work with the next generation is important to you, we highly suggest working with linen. Compared to cotton, our Centurion linen has a non-mechanical surface with a lovely texture that is a joy to paint on.
