Built for permanence and stability in applications where a lighter-weight stretcher bar is adequate, Blick Studio Stretched Cotton Canvas features 100% cotton duck with a medium texture. Three coats of acid-free titanium gesso are applied for a primed weight of approximately 10.5 oz. A great choice for students, hobbyists, and professionals doing studies and experiments, it’s suitable for painting with oils, acrylics, or alkyds.
The canvas is hand-stretched and back-stapled around solid wood stretcher bars, allowing for frameless presentation. Larger canvas sizes are braced for extra support. Cross brace configurations may vary by size and style.
