These unique frames are so named because they create the illusion that your artwork is “floating” inside the frame instead of being covered by it. Made from genuine American maple hardwood, the Blick Maplewood Floater Frame is ideal for gallery wrap canvas. Every frame is handmade. A hand-rubbed application is applied giving it a beautiful, silky smooth feel and a “washed” appearance, which may be more pronounced with the black frame. The color of these frames may vary slightly depending on the shade of the natural wood. Available in a variety of sizes, they accommodate 3/4″ deep or 7/8″ deep canvases. The canvas easily attaches to the stretcher bars from the back side with screws.
