Black Telemark Tine – JP2001

Description

Inspired by the colors of the beautiful bunader (costumes) from the Telemark region, this two piece is painted in Jo Sonja’s own Telemark style. She loves to paint on black but this color scheme would adapt well to any dark background color. This tine was awarded the blue ribbon at the 1996 Vesterheim exhibition.

The bundle includes the beautifully reproduced bentwood tine including the distinctive heart cutouts on the side.  The lid is secured with a rotating “horse head” fastener.  The oval shape of the tine measures about 17″ long by 10 wide” and 8″ tall at the top of the handle.
