Fusefx Bc-Series Pigments
Surgeon-approved colours for replicating realistic organs and body parts are now available in our BC-Series pigments. This range consists of four colours, each designed to mimic specific human tissues, enabling you to create incredibly lifelike prosthetics and simulations. BC-01 Hearty is perfect for replicating heart, muscle, and gum tissue, while BC-02 Fatty is ideal for simulating fat tissue. BC-03 Bowely is designed to mimic intestines and bowel tissue, and BC-04 Milky is ideal for mammary tissue.
These FISC Silicone Pigments, also known as Functional Intrinsic Skin Colors, are the fundamental building blocks of all human skin tones. By adding a few drops of these pigments to your clear Platinum silicone, such as Smooth-On’s Dragon Skin or Ecoflex, you can create a foundation that perfectly mimics human flesh. These versatile and easy-to-use silicone pigments are developed for medical prosthesis, special effects prosthetic artisans, doll makers, and other professionals who require realistic skin tones.
To achieve optimal results, it’s essential to follow the recommended mix ratio of 3 drops of pigments per 10 grams of silicone by weight. This ratio may vary depending on the type of silicone base used, so it’s crucial to run a test sample first to ensure the desired colour is achieved. Adding too much pigment can alter the colour, while adding too little may result in a translucent finish.
Before use, always shake the bottle well to ensure the pigments are evenly dispersed. It’s also essential to clean all surfaces that will contact the FuseFX paints to ensure a strong bond. We recommend painting the cured piece within two days of demolding for optimal results.
