Traditionally, calipers are used to maintain a certain size, width, dimension taken from a live model that is then replicated in a sculpture, either in the same size or in a scaled-down ratio of the measurement. These lightweight, steel calipers contain a sturdy wing nut to hold your measurement in place for as long as it is needed.
