Atmospheric moisture can react with urethane materials, leading to bubbling or foaming in your resin/filler mix. To remedy this, simply line a cookie sheet with foil and spread the filler evenly over the cookie sheet at 3/8”-1/2” thickness (0.95 cm-1.25 cm). Place it in an oven on warm setting (150°F / 60°C) and bake for 4 hours. Remove the cookie sheet from the oven, let the filler cool to room temperature before mixing with urethane materials.

Proper storage is also critical to prevent moisture absorption. To avoid issues, use URE-FIL™ 3 as quickly as possible after purchasing. When decanting the filler, replace the lid immediately, and avoid leaving the container opened for more than a minute. If you need to store the filler for prolonged periods, consider obtaining desiccant pouches and placing one or two in the container. Replace the used desiccant pouches every other time you open the container, and make sure the container lid is secure before storing.
