Armicel 500 Hydrophilic Fiber 400 – 800 µ – 100g

Description

Armicel 500 is a chemically post-treated cellulose fiber with a very high swelling capacity, but the fiber remains intact. The fibers thicken in water to a stable gel-like paste. Armicel 500 is suitable for incorporation in distemper, plaster and mortar, as it reduces flow and prevents cracking. In acrylic paint, on the other hand, the strong swelling effect can cause difficulties – therefore it is recommended to pre-swell the Armicel carefully in water and then work the paste into the acrylic paint while stirring constantly.
