The Beauport Easel is an improved version of the famous Gloucester and Andersen Easels, which were first introduced in the early part of the 20th century. Thanks to its special design, the Beauport allows you to paint large-size canvases outdoors, even in windy conditions. The key is the extra wide foot print of the easel, which spans 65″ across and 65″ from front to back. We would suggest attaching a sand bag for extra windy conditions, but you can usually fill an empty bag with sand or dirt after you set up the easel, so there’s no need to carry a heavy bag into the field with you. You can use it right out of the box!
