First use instructions: 1. Make sure the cap is completely closed. 2. Shake the pen gently. You should hear a clicking sound; that is a ball within the pen that helps agitate the ink. 3. Gently push down the tip on a scrap sheet of paper until the ink begins to flow. 4. Replace cap firmly and store horizontally after opening.
