DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine™ GOUACHE is a professional grade water-based paint that dries to an opaque matte finish. DANIEL SMITH Gouache is made with the same high-quality pigments, and gum arabic as DANIEL SMITH Extra Fine™ Watercolors but is formulated with more pigment to be richly opaque. Whites and other fillers are not used to make the color more opaque.
Whether your painting style is abstract, representational, or figurative, you’ll enjoy the versatility of GOUACHE. Apply it straight from the tube to get rich, full-bodied solids with a single brush stroke, or soften the color with water to create lighter tones. Mix and blend new shades to customize your palette. You can even scrape into it or build up light texture with mark-making tools.
