Phthalo Blue Pigment Dispersion in Water Net 1 fluid ounce
A high-strength, ready-to-use dispersion of Phthalocyanine Blue PB15:3 in water with a non-ionic surfactant system. Designed for artists and craft formulators who want the brilliant hue and lightfastness of Phthalo Blue without the time-consuming grinding step.
Composition & Concentration
• Pigment: Copper-phthalocyanine β-form (CI PB 15:3) 40 wt %
• Vehicle: De-ionised water 58 wt %
• Dispersant / Humectant: Non-ionic surfactant blend 2 wt %
No glycol ethers, no formaldehyde donors.
Applications & Compatibility
– Watercolor & gouache (mix 1 : 1 with Watercolor Medium)
– Acrylic & PVA paints (add up to 15 % by weight of wet paint)
– Fresco & limewash (alkali-stable)
– Digital ink & textile pre-treatment trials
Not recommended for direct addition to oil media—use the dry pigment instead.
Permanence & Lightfastness – ASTM I in water media; resists acids, alkalis, UV > 3 500 h Xenon.
Handling & Storage – Shake or stir before use. Protect from frost. Shelf-life 24 months unopened.
Toxicity – Conforms to ASTM D-4236; non-toxic. Avoid ingestion or spraying without respiratory protection.
