Fabriano’s paper mill has been making fine art papers since 1264. They have pioneered many paper-making processes over the centuries, including paper sizing. Today, Fabriano uses vegan sizing to internally and externally size its papers without animal-by products. This new sizing allows watercolorists to have more control when lifting color. Fabriano has also modernized and reduced the size of its watermark because your artwork should be the star.
All of Fabriano Artistico’s 100% cotton rag watercolor papers are mould-made. This paper technique creates a more consistent and even water absorption over the surface and makes the paper robust and durable enough to withstand scrubbing. Fabriano Artistico Watercolor Paper has incredible working qualities, a beautiful surface texture, and two distinct “whites.”
